Latest Books - Catching Alice

Having lost her job, flat and boyfriend within two weeks time, Alice Lewis decides to move from London to L.A. after reconnecting with an old friend, Tash. Before Alice and Tash leave for L.A., however, they celebrate their upcoming move in a London pub. At this pub, and unbeknownst to Alice, she captures the attention of an Irish director, Patrick Wilde aka Paddy. That night Patrick discovers Alice's plans to move and decides to follow her out to L.A.

Through the help of Tash, Alice quickly secures a position in L.A. at Star PR as a publicist to the stars. While Tash and Alice are living together, Alice starts receiving romantic notes and presents and starts to believe that she has a secret admirer. Meanwhile, having caught Patrick snooping around their house, Tash is convinced that Alice is being stalked by a dangerous man.

Patrick unexpectedly runs into Alice one day and she quickly falls in love with him after they share a meal. Alice and Patrick keep meeting again and again; they move in some of the same social circles. But, just when Alice thinks she will never hear from Patrick, he calls her and asks her out for dinner. Dinner leads to dating and both Alice and Patrick are quickly enamored with each other. Caught up in her new romance, however, Alice makes a terrible mistake at work that almost results in her dismissal.

One night, when Patrick is supposed to come over for a date with Alice, Tash opens the door, and, recognizing him from his snooping, she threatens to call the cops on him if he doesn't leave immediately. Tash tells Alice that Patrick is definately the stalker, and before Alice can sort everything out between her and Patrick, she has to fly to NYC on a business trip. In NYC, Alice soon realizes she is fed up with her job and quits. Depressed, Alice walks to Central Park to collect herself and is approached by Patrick. After tracking Alice down, Patrick confesses his love for her and asks her to move to London with him, and, she accepts.
